Originally from Springfield Illinois, Abe Lincoln’s hometown and the birthplace of the Corn Dog. Joe graduated from Illinois State University with a BA in History in 1990. After graduation, Joe settled in Chicago and launched Kaplan Construction, a real estate development company specializing in apartment building rehab and condominium conversions. He was also a member of Chicago’s famous Second City Theater.
In 2004, Joe relocated to Pasadena with his wife Tracy and daughters Zoë and Lily. The Kaplan family loves Pasadena and have called it their home ever since. Joe has worked in both TV and film behind and in front of the camera. Most notably, the carpenter for the HGTV show Myles Of Style. In 2015, Joe joined Coldwell Banker Realty bringing his knowledge of development and construction to residential brokerage. Having experience on both sides of the transaction gives Joe the insight and know how you can rely on in the sale or purchase of your home.
